Barong Dance
Batubulan is the more creative side of town, the image of the village is mostly art biased while handicrafts and other souvenirs are also made there. Batubulan has been home of the artistic Barong Dance or also known as the Barong and Keris Dance. Many tourists which are more active in the art and history of Bali would spend a whole day walking around Batubulan and discover what is in every shop. The village has a wide range of dances that can be watched.
The Barong is a mythical creature that resembles a lion. The Barong is the ruler of spirits and the commander of all that is good. The Barong enemy is the Rangda, the evil figure and the origin of all that is bad. The epic battle between the Barong and the Rangda is a main event in the Barong dance, and shows the legendary battle between good and evil.
Ubud
Ubud is the main attraction of the island of Bali. The town is located in the center of Bali and is filled with art, music, artifacts, culture handicrafts and many other terrific things. Ubud is a great spot for tourists to visit due to the great facilities and shops that the local’s and travelers have made. Ubud has a wide range of dining options which range from simple street side food to fine dinning. Ubud has many luxurious villas and hotels which can be rented through the Bali Brothers, and is an ideal place to stay if Ubud sounds like the ideal spot for you. All towns, beaches and locations are easily accessible from Ubud.
Tegallalang (Beautiful Rice Terrace)
The Tegalalang rice terrace or also known as the ceding rice terrace is more of a popular place that many would visit. The Tegalalang rice village is situated north south from Kintamani and Ubud. The rice terrace is a terrific place to visit and has a magnificent view of beautiful lush green rice fields. While on the terrace you can observe Balinese farmers farm in a huge area cleverly built in with a natural irrigation system which evenly distributes water through out the whole rice field. There is a terrific view of the valley.
Kintamani (Magnificent view of mountain and Lake Batur)
Kintamaini is situated to the west of the large caldera wall of mount Batur. Kintamani has a area which consists of three main villages. The Penelokan village, the Batur village and the Kintamani village. These destinations should be on the top of the to do list, seeing that it has an amazing view of Mount Batur and it’s lake. Kintamani is encircled by forests and six Bali Age time worn villages which sit around the vast lake. The locals of these Bali Age villages have a very unique and simple cultural and life style. The population of villagers are about fifteen thousand, most are farmers, merchants or work with hotels and villas. The vast mountain range around Kintamani has a spectacular lake and hot spring
